Scoping e-science and e-social science developments and their value to the arts and humanities

Principal Investigator: Ms Sheila Anderson, King's College London

A recent AHRB expert seminar revealed that awareness and understanding of e-science projects and outputs was low. Consequently little thought had been given to how e-science programme outputs might be adapted and applied within the arts and humanities. The project intends to overcome this lack of knowledge by providing a knowledge base for those wishing to engage with an e-arts and humanities agenda by:

  • Identifying, collating and analysing information on e-science projects and outputs
  • Matching these against methods and challenges in the arts and humanities
  • Using this information to create a knowledge base for consultation by arts and humanities scholars
