e-Publishing

In the wake of the publication of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee’s Tenth Report, on Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishing on July 20th 2004, the (then) AHRB anticipated the growing importance of e-publications in the arts and humanities. Reporting to the ICT Programme's Steering Committee, an e-Publishing Round Table was accordingly set up to discuss and advise on matters of policy relating to e-publications in the arts and humanities.

Expert Seminars

As part of its ongoing consultation process, the ICT Programme held a series of Expert Seminars during 2003-2004 in which academic experts, ICT professionals and other stakeholders discussed key issues in Arts and Humanities computing, identified needs of researchers and deficiencies in current provision, and made recommendations.
